The Judiciary & Executive Actions
The Chicago Committee  co-sponsored a CLE panel discussion concerning the federal judiciary’s response to recent executive orders. The featured panelists were Paul Gowder, Professor of Law at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and Aziz Huq, Professor of Law at the University of Chicago Law School. Ann Chen, Assistant General Counsel at TransUnion, moderated the panel. The program was co-sponsored by the Illinois State Bar Association, the Asian American Bar Association of Chicago, and the Leadership Counsel on Legal Diversity.
Summer Happy Hours
To help keep our community connected, the Chicago Committee hosted a series of happy hours this summer. The gatherings brought together summer associates, and attorneys for evenings of engaging conversations and new connections.
Partner Dinner
Member firm partners gathered for dinner, networking, and re-connection will colleagues
LegalTrek
The Chicago Committee and DePaul University College of Law partnered to host LegalTrek, a summer program for undergraduate students interested in the legal profession. During six class sessions, the students learned about different practice areas, the law school application process, and LSAT prep. They also participated in mock negotiations, a mock trial, and visit a law firm. Attorneys volunteered as mentors for the program. Click here to learn more and apply.
Associate and In-House Counsel Bash
The Associate Board hosed this annual, lively event for associates and in-house counsel. The reception provided an opportunity for the attorneys to meet and network.
Nourish: Staying Grounded in the New Legal Workplace
The Chicago Committee hosted a career wellness program with Venu Gupta, CEO & Founder of Solidarity Futures, and Sheila Maloney, CEO of Life Match, who led a discussion about how to navigate the new challenges and stressors in the legal work environment and how to still cultivate growth in your career.

The Chicago Committee’s founders, board alumni, and current board members came together to share memories and look ahead to the future of the organization.
Chicago Committee Connect
To provide more updates and outreach to our member firms, the Chicago Committee hosted meetings for member firm inclusion leaders. The meetings also gave an opportunity for the member firms to provide ideas and feedback.
