The Chicago Committee held the Rate My RFP Finals on June 29, 2023 at Google. The Rate My RFP program connects law firm attorneys and in-house counsel for continued business development and client relationship skill building. Starting in May law firm attorneys worked as teams to respond to a request for proposal from a corporate legal department involving a mock scenario. The four teams worked with law firm partner and in-house counsel coaches to provide feedback and advice on their written and oral RFP responses. At the Finals, a panel of in-house counsel reviewed the written and oral RFP response, provided feedback, and awarded the most effective submissions. All the teams did an exceptional job on their written RFP response and presentation to the judges. The Best Team Written Response winners were Ronald Gilbert (Akerman LLP), Kanasha Herbert (Locke Lord LLP), Nas Hussain (Winston & Strawn LLP), and Milea Moye (Polsinelli PC). The Best Team Presentation winners were Mary Canavan (Polsinelli PC), Elaine Liu (Mayer Brown LLP), Prateek Reddy (Michael Best & Friedrich LLP), and Caroline Wong (Sidley Austin LLP). We appreciate all the hard work of the participants! The other participants were Jalen Brown (Reed Smith LLP), Meredith Eng (Polsinelli PC), Alejandra Garcia Earley (Greenberg Traurig, LLP), Elliot Henigan (Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP), Carlos Marin (Locke Lord LLP), Jasmine Morton (Riley Safer Holmes & Cancila LLP), and Shondella Peten (Polsinelli PC).
