The Restaurant Development Legal Team is a dynamic, experienced team of lawyers, paralegals, and other real estate legal professionals who support the acquisition of real estate to open new McDonald’s restaurants across the U.S. to allow McDonald’s to better serve its communities and create feel good moments for its customers.

Attorneys on the Restaurant Development Legal team are expected to:

• Have excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills to provide advice and counsel to business partners on a high volume and diverse portfolio of leasing and acquisition matters;
• Draft, negotiate, and analyze ground leases, real estate purchase contracts, title, and survey along with other ancillary legal documents;
• Devise creative, practical solutions to complex legal issues in the context of fast-paced ground lease and real estate purchase transactions to advance business objectives while mitigating risk and protecting the McDonald’s brand;
• Think strategically to anticipate future business needs and identify existing opportunities, including by developing new practices and leading change efforts to modify existing practices as necessary;
• Be intellectually curious and adaptable to change, including adopting new technologies to drive efficiency;
• Work collaboratively on cross-functional teams within the legal department and serve as a commercial real estate subject matter expert.

• Must be fully vaccinated (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) for COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date.
• You are licensed to practice law and in good standing with a state bar association.
• You should have 3-5 years of commercial real estate experience in commercial retail leasing and acquisitions from a law firm or in-house real estate position.
