Job: Mid-Level Associate for Insurance Recovery Group
Firm: Reed Smith LLP
The Insurance Recovery Group of Reed Smith LLP, a global law firm of more than 1500 lawyers, is currently seeking an exceptional Chicago licensed Mid-Level Associate to join the Chicago Office. This industry focused group represents corporate policyholders throughout the United States in a wide range of cutting edge matters including policy review and investigations, provider disputes, contractual disputes, and class actions.
Candidates should have 3-4 years of mid-large size law firm experience in complex litigation and arbitration, excellent academic credentials and strong writing, research, analytical and verbal communication skills. Policyholder experience is a plus but a lawyer with exceptional skills, willing to commit to the practice and eager to learn is encouraged to apply.
Candidates must be familiar with State Court Rules and E-Discovery specifically Relativity. Experience handling multiple cases, and ability to serve as the point person on litigation, including coordinating with other associates and staff and acting as client contact. Candidate must have demonstrated project management skills and be able to take a case and run with it. Deposition and/or courtroom experience required.
