The Committee strives to understand and incorporate the perspectives of its member firms’ corporate clients with respect to diversity in the legal community. The Corporate Leadership Advisory Council (CLAC) is comprised of attorneys employed as either a senior level in-house lawyer or Vice President or higher level position in Chicago based corporations which utilize the legal services of one or more Chicago Committee member firms. CLAC’s purpose is to support the Committee’s mission and advise the Committee by representing the interests and viewpoints of corporations in this regard.

CLAC members must have a genuine interest in the work and mission of the Chicago Committee and a willingness to offer ideas, expertise and honest advice.

  • CLAC members must be nominated by a Chicago Committee Board Member or the Executive Director and voted on by the Committee’s Board of Directors.
  • The CLAC will have no fewer than five members and no more than ten members.
  • CLAC members must be employed as either a senior level in-house lawyer or Vice President or higher level position. CLAC members must be employed by a corporation which utilizes the legal services of one or more member firms.
